I think that the LD rule changes can and do effect all people in endurance, no
matter what distance they prefer. Reasons: Many people ride the LD, they pay
entry fees that significantly support the entire ride.  Many novice people
begin with LD,therfore, new people are introduced gently into endurance. LD
riders are just as big an influence on bringing new people into the sport as
50 or 100 mile riders, if not more, because they speak of an enjoyable ride
that most people don't feel is unattainable.
LD rules and changes effect us all..............in fact, I feel that LD is
where the future begins, bringing up our future participants, horses and
people.
