Bob, a ride that was an actual 47.6 miles long has not been a legal
AERC ride for years. The rules state that the ride must be *at least*
50 miles, only above 50 miles does the rounding to the nearest 2.5
miles occur.
Rule 1 and 1.1.1 verbatim:
1. The ride must be *at least* (emphasis mine) 50 miles in length per
day, up to a maximum of 150 miles in three days.
1.1.1 Mileage *over 50* (emphasis mine) must be a multiple of five,
ending in a 0 or 5, whichever is the nearest whole number to the
actual ride mileage (e.g., 52.4 miles = 50, 52.5 miles = 55).
