Re: low heels
Ask this question at www.horseshoes.com/ This is a great network of
farriors to answer questions like this. My riding buddy has an arab/saddlebred
with no heels and very long pasterns, very sloping hoof. My farrior has put 2
degree rim pads under standard steel shoes and this has worked well for him.
He still hasn't grown any heel, but he is traveling sound and has had no
problems with hoof quality or leg or tendon type trouble at all.
