Tevis '98 Results

Detailed information continues to be compiled from the ride cards and checkpoint
records.  "Weight Carried" information has been added to the Official Standings
pages and, for the Non-Finishers, "pull codes" have been added:

Of the 98 horses that did not complete, 58 were pulled for lameness, 22 were for
metabolic reasons, 9 were for checkpoint overtime and 9 were pulled at the
rider's option.

Pull locations and other details are forthcoming.

Applictions for the 45th Anniversary Tevis Cup Ride to be held on July 24, 1999,
will be accepted **starting on October 1st.**  A printable version of the '99
signup form (and waiver form) will be available on the Tevis website later this
month.  OR, you can contact the WSTF office with your snailmail address info at
wstf@foothill.net and they will add you to the mailing list for the printed
forms.
