Weight carried on FEI rides

Something to consider-in the 3 day eventing(also an FEI discipline) they
have discontinued the weight requirement after much study.  The issue was
the dead weight that was having to be carried by the light weight riders.  
Carrying live weight is very different from carrying dead weight.  Perhaps
the endurance community needs to approach the FEI and request a similar
ruling.
