Longer wearing horseshoes

The recent thread on borium nails etc.  Brought up a problem I have.  My
horse has been wearing out his rear shoes (evenly) very quickly this year.
Does anyone have a suggestion of a shoe that will wear noticeably longer?  I
don't need or want more traction just a bit more wear.  20% would change 4
weeks to 5 between replacements.
