Dear Mom,

	How are you doing?  As you know, life is hell over here.  Food is scarce,
everything is closed.  And my nutrition has gone to shit.  Luckily Mike
sent me some food otherwise I wouldnt have any.  Since the bombing, base
has been closed.  Cant leave or go anywhere.  Life is pretty boring.  Its
pretty fucked up when you dont know where your next meal is comming from. 
Who would of thought that the Army would ever let you go hungry.  I only
eat once a day, to conserve.  Right now, theres no relief to the end of the
strike.  Hell one guy got beat up while getting food for his family off
base.  In front of his family of all things.  Now we have to worry about
getting killed.  God I cant wait until I leave this god damn place
	As far as my return assignment, I didnt have a choice as to where I was
going.  I was supposed to go to Ft Lewis, but due to the fact that 3
detatchments were closed before I left, I had the feeling that I would not
be going back.  DA called up my chief one day and told him that they dont
have any slots for me there, so they put me on orders for Ft Erwin.  One
desert to another, "A".  O well.  At least I will be in the states.  And be
home as far as Im concerned.  I will be happy when I wont have to put up
with this shit anymore.  So far they havent made us get anthrax shots yet. 
Talk about a pinnacle point to a already shity situation.  
	Any way if you want to send me anything,  extra vitamins that you have
laying around  would much be appreciated.  I know my nutrient intake has
been terrible.  I finished those bio pils that you sent me a long time ago.
 At the end of this message I will put my address down for you.
	I will send you a letter from the guy who got beat up.  I think you will
find it very interesting.
	Well I will let you go for now, and will write to you more later.  I send
my love.  Tell Kelly that I said Hi.

PS  Im not really sure what I will be doing for christmas, thanksgiving I
will be over here.  I also havent talked to Erin either, By the time he get
s letter from me now he would of already graduated.  But please tell him
that I am very proud of him, and will get a package to him when he gets to
AIT. or whatever the marines call it.
