down to nearest 100) during the days indicated:

Sat,  8/8/98:  4700 (Ride Day start)
Sun,  8/9/98:  2800 (Ride Day end)

Notes:  The counter was attached to the Sitenotes frame which displays upon
initial visit to the webcast site.  The counter does not distinguish between
first-time visitors and reloads, so these counts do NOT represent the number of
distinct visitors.

Email statistics:  12 notes received by the webmaster asking about availability
of final standings.  37 notes received thanking everyone for the Webcast
effort.  24 notes received suggesting ways to improve the coverage or noting
problems encountered.
