Calcium levels

Hello all,

I received the blood work back on my mare and
her selenium level was 1.3 which my vet said was
a little low.  What took him by total surprise was that
the level of calcium in my mare was pretty much 
nil.  He thought this quite out of the ordinary.  Will
be starting her on Di Calcium Phos supplement and
a vitamin, mineral supplement with added selenium
right away.  Answered the questions that brought
me to the vet in the first place.

My mare is possibly pregnant I am very concerned
about any harm that could be done to my mare's 
unborn baby.  (at the most 2 mos along)
