Re: Saddle info-- Marciante
I had just the opposite experience with my Marciante -- I found the quality of
leather used and workmanship very poor -- had to buy a kit to replace the
grommets that fell out frequently after adjusting the stirrups. Also, the
leather wore very badly in spots after only owning it for about a year. It
did fit the original horse fairly well, however when we went to horse #2 and
paid the $35 the saddle did not fit since the tree was quite narrow and horse
#2 was quite wide. Horse #2 ended up with terrible white marks over the
withers. Frank's solution was to pad the saddle up -- my solution was to sell
the saddle and take a loss.
Just goes to show that no one saddle will fit every horse or rider.
