I wash them regularly as I do a ride every weekend,
most are made of fleece. First i put them in the 
dryer and suck the hair out, dryer on fluff for 180 min.
more if needed Then I wash them in woolite  full cycle,
when all washed , I do full cycle again just in plain water
to insure all soap is out.  I never dry them in the dryer
they shrink some  just hang them on the fence posts.
