Hi Rhonda I do respiratory consulting. You have free
access which is good.Never store hay above horses
with coughs or shavings near them.There are many
tests you can do number one allergy, You could use
Dengie a non allergic bagged hay or horse hage.Tiz
Whiz is the most non alergenic feed. A product called
Better Breather before riding and after sold through
Jeffers suppy.
There are many products available for coughs.
Also try not to give hay when trailing or use shavings.
Management is the best way to deal with a coughing
horse.
