I haven't, but I would be more likely to deny a horse a start over a temp than
over a HR.  More likely an indicator of illness...  As for waiting in the hot
sun, yes the temp might rise, but not likely a rise suggestive of illness.
Well horses without access to shade do fine standing in the sun unless the
conditions are really severe.
