Nylon tack
Nylon rope or webbing can be dangerous if it is subjected to enough stress
to cause it to break or if metal attached to it breaks. The reason is that
it has great strength and elasticity and stores lots of energy until it
breaks at which time the broken ends whip around (perhaps with a broken snap
attached) and can maim or kill. The moral is to not use nylon ropes on
halter pullers or any horse that might possibly ever break a rope.
