What you state is not just a problem in endurance or our schools, it is
becoming inherent in our political structure. We also have a "protectionist"
government that is ruining individuality and self-esteem. By holding
someone's' hand, you do not make them stronger, you make them dependent. And,
dependency leads to complacency. Shortly, you have a society of whiners.
