I can understand how those who do not know Maggie might take exception to her
remarks.  Those of us who have known her for many years know that her
apparently "put-down" remarks were said with a twinkle in her eye, a smile on
her face and a lilt to her voice...all of which are lost when something is put
in black and white on a piece of paper.  There is not a one of you out there
that she wouldn't try to beat fair and square and there is not a one of you
out  with whom she wouldn't share every ounce of her vast knowledge of our
sport.  She didn't stick her foot in her mouth, she was too busy pulling your
