l999 North American Championship

Now that we know the site for the next North American Championship and the
date (Manitoba, Canada, July 24, l999) all Zones must be beginning
preparations to
plan for this event.   Mike Tomlinson, DVM and myself are Zone
Representatives
for the Pacific South Zone and will need to appoint a Team Chef D'Equipe
and
Chair of the Selection Committee by the end of July of this year.  If any
of you are
interested in applying for these positions or would like information about
them,
please contact either of us.  If you are considering nominating your horse
or would
like information as to qualifications of horse and rider, please contact
us.  Dr. Tomlinson's address and phone #'s  and mine are listed in the

under l998 AERC Committees, Pacific South Zone.  Last year, USA Pacific
South came home with Team Bronze and Shirley Delsart, aboard KJ Destination
won the ride and the individual gold.  Please get in touch with us if you
