Hi Nora - 

I have noticed dark urine in a horse just tied to the trailer for the day, &
had been told by my vet that dehydration will cause this & not necessarily
mean the horse is about to tie up.  So in my mind there are varying degrees of
response to stress &/or dehydration & may indicate a serious problem depending
on the activity.
