From Bobbie Barber: The most wonderful ride I ruined!  

We three, Jan, Hillary and I, had had a wonderful day - The trails were well marked, and we all had fun together.  The vet checks had gone well, and we had been able to get out of camp on time.  We had led all day, with Tracy riding with us, then we started getting close to camp, and I told Hillary "Get back - pull back with Jan, your sponsor".  When Tracy passed me, I glanced back, didn't see Hillary, looked the other way, saw a black horse, and thought Hillary was with Jan.

I let Kash go - the last thing I heard was Tracy yelling to clear the way. Well, my stupidity caused my granddaughter to get hurt when her saddle slipped and she couldn't hang on - she hit the hard road.  Thank goodness for her helmet!!  She will be OK, but I don't believe I'll ever forgive myself.  Hillary keeps saying it isn't my fault, but I know it is.
