Re: Shoes absorbing shock
I run 25-30 miles/week and have been taught to alternate two pairs of running
shoes in order to give the shock absorbing material time to recover. If I
apply this idea to shock absorbing pads or horse shoes, it would follow that
they would compress quickly and be unable to recover, and all would be equal.
Is the material used for horse shoe pads so superior to that in my expensive
running shoes? (Or are alternating running shoes just a gimmick to get me to
put out more for my running since I don't need to buy a saddle for me to
wear!)
