If the horse is not lame and the splint is small I have kept on riding them 
with no ill effects.(This is assuming that the reason the splint popped was 
not due to over-riding but playtime activity)
 The splint you see now will shrink in size about 50% when 
it calms down.Try not to worry about it-it's disappointing but not 
dangerous.-Amy
