Easy Boots instead of shoes

Hi gang,  well Blue threw that shoe again, same shoe 3 times in the last  6
rides!!  So I am thinking instead of wasting my entry fee that I already
paid for Flagstaff Cinders and loosing a shoe resulting in a pull,  I will
pull the other front shoe and go with easyboots and foam for the ride and
easy boots for conditioning until the hoof grows out enough to hold a shoe
again.  Has anyone had to revert to this before and how did it go for you?
