4-way vaccination reactions

My gelding typically has a great deal of generalized muscle soreness
following certain brands of 4-way (Fort Dodge and Cutter, for example.) 
I've dealt with this in two ways:  Bute, 2 Gms the day before, the day of
and the day after vaccination--works well but I don't like to give Bute if
I don't have to because it can mask other problems--And, two, changing
brands--I've had the best luck (no obvious reaction) with the Prestige
lines (Equilab/Bayer) so far.  Not here to promote certain brands, but you
might try this.  Kay
