Just a quick warning.  If you REALLY want to bring in some ticks, buy a
bag of decorative pine bark.  I used to work at the offices of a large
grocery chain store.  Every spring we got complaints from customers who
had bought our pine bark and got millions of seed ticks...then, silly me,
I put some out myself.  It was a nightmare.  Ticks love pine trees. 
Finally got rid of them with pet chickens.  I bought 5 more this week to
combat this year's infestation, but they're rough on the landscaping.
