4/11/98 Boxelder Trails Ride Results

Greetings!
        56 Horse & Rider teams showed up this past Saturday to enjoy a
beautiful Colorado day at the inaugural Boxelder Trails 15 mile "Rookie",
30 mile Limited Distance and 50 mile Endurance Rides.  Congratulations to
all the completing riders!  The 50 mile endurance ride featured an exciting
nose-to-nose race to the finish between Bridget Shaw on Impulsively and
Nancy Day on Tugg, with one judge finding it too close to call and the the
other giving it to Bridget & Impulsively by a whisker!
        Thanks to Nancy Day of Boxelder Trails for hosting the ride, our
vets Doc Ute Jung of Country Companions and Colorado State University
Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Khursheed Mama, our sponsors Vetline Equine
Inc. and Kinko's Copies, and of course our wonderful volunteers headed-up
by Linnea Skoglund, Randy Osborn, Diane Bajada-Mills and Jim Blankenship.
