Trail Blazer Articles
Just got my Trail Blazer and read some very good and informative
articles in it, from people on this list. S.P.Taylor park is part of
our training grounds and a great area to visit...nice work Connie! If
anyone just has to come visit this area after reading this article, give
me a call! I havn't gotten to Angela's article yet but I did get to Tom
Ivers. He writes about work and recovery days in the conditioning
schedule. Anyone else read it yet?
I must admit I'm a bit unclear on the recovery days. He says recovery
days are not days with no work, but not more than 1/3 of the total
weeks' work. So how many days of no work (and being in pasture) is
allowed between work and recovery days in this scenario? Or did I miss
something? Tom, if you are reading this stuff, should a horse be allowed
any time of NO WORK in your conditioning schedule? (once again, pasture,
not stall).
