Shock Tamer Pads

So what is the deal with these pads?  I haven't seen any but do they have a
waffle shape structure that is filled with cushion?  Have they been
tested/proven to absorb more shock then a regular plastic pad?  I will
probably try them and will let you all know. I ride in a lot of rock or a
lot of sand, desert riding at its best!
