The Goethe Ride

I am moveing - yes I am some kind of nut.  Two weeks before a ride and
selling your house.  But I do have a good crew and the ride is progressing.
 100 miles of trail has been marked - most with permanent markers!  Roberta
has got base camp under control.

It looks like the storms that have pelted FL this winter are now moving
north of FL and the whole state is drying out.  Most major rivers have been
above flood stage for 4 months.  There is massive flood damage since most
of FL is nothing but a flood plain.  Hopefully for everyone the belated dry
season has started.

The trails look good.  With a little bit of help from El Nino there will be
plenty of trail water for drinking and sponging but dry firm trails. 

So if anyone has seen the weather reports and news and has written off
riding in FL this year, as usual it is not as bad as it seems - at lest in
the Goethe forest.
