I have found that when I ride under high-tension power lines, I also get
erratic or very scary readings (220-240 at an easy trot). Moving away from
the lines solves the problem. Until I understood what caused it, I had a
lot of concern. (Unfortunately, one nice training trail I like follows
lines like this. I use the moniter to do test recoveries by moving out from
under; but during the ride I get no valid info.

when to believe me!)
