yeahhhh riders....just do it!!!

Congrads to all the people who have just put in some ride stories (I'm
catching up on digest). Good for you SAMM...I'm glad you had a great
ride on a great horse! I got to ride a wonderful little arab Sat.
thanks to Jazon Wonders and boy, did that pain feel good!!!! Glenda, I
enjoyed your story and your good attitude about pulling Lakota and
questioning things that could be different next time. I learned as well
that a long trip like that takes its toll. My first ride I hauled
Mystery to Nevada, around 6 hours of driving and he wouldn't poo or
pee..I was pretty worried. Took some time for him to settle after the
long drive.

My .02cents about weapons...I myself escape to the wilderness and except
the risk to enjoy being out there weaponless. The day I have to spend
my time paranoid in the forest is the day I slit my wrists. That is the
only escape to sanity I have and face it, it is riskier walking in a
city neighborhood then to take the horse on a long ride in the
mountains. I also don't feel religion, politics (right to bear arms) or
any of that stuff should be on this forum. Just my .02cents for what it
might be worth.

As John Muir said "go to the mountains and enjoy their good tidings". I
can't imagine enjoying nature while worrying what might be around the
next tree, although I agree, the human animal is much scarier than the
fur or feathered kind....

And remember, in the bear world, Bigger is Better, don't run, don't
stare, and please, support the right to Arm Bears, cause they need all
the protection they can get!! <g>

Kimberly (x bear researcher, wishes she could turn into a bear until
spring...)
& Mystery the Morab ("did you say I can go back to pasture next
week?....yippee!!!)
