re:Egyptians in endurance

Stephanie,
My best endurance horse has been a straight egyptian mare. She has
competed in close to 2,000 miles of endurance and carried my ten year
old granddaughter 600 miles in 1998. She has completed at least 7
hundred mile rides and top tenned in four of them. She has also taught
two other granddaughters to ride. She has energy ansd spitirt when she
needs it and the good sense to be careful with beginner riders,
especially children. She seems to be a good family horse, for that
reason. I would say go with your straight egyptian if she appeals to you
in all other ways.
