Dear Mr. Proe:
I was forwarded a copy of your request for information regarding the proposed Mountain Quarry Railroad Trail Project. Auburn State Recreation Area (ASRA) staff is incorporating changes into this proposal in response to concerns voiced by members of the Western States Trail Foundation and others involved in the equestrian community. An appropriate level environmental review conducted pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Environmental Policy Act, with the California Department of Parks and Recreation and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as Lead Agencies, will be required once a revised final draft proposal is developed. You will be included in any future mailings or notifications associated with this project. You may view all project related files by contacting the Auburn State Recreation Area office at (530) 885-4527; normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 4:00 PM.
