Re: FEI rules
Heidi, you are right about these policies not being FEI rules.
For everyone else's information, the Ground Jury actually
controls the ride. They must approve everything, including how
the vet commission wants to run the vet check.
In UAE, there were NO penalties for not reaching pulse, but you
only had 30 minutes from arrival to do so. I also saw all of the
vets giving every horse and rider every possible chance. Many a
horse was trotted out twice at the vet checks. At the initial
vet-in, I saw more "iffy" horses be allowed to start than I do at
most rides here. They were truely "rider friendly"
