In addition, UAE stepped in and offered to put on the WEC on fairly short
notice when the WEC in Ireland was cancelled.  Their financial ability to put
on the event on short notice was certainly a factor--major sponsors must be
found years in advance, and raising money without major sponsors is a tough
job.
