ride fees

Okay, I have been reading all of your responses to the increased fee from AERC
and it has made me look back at my dressage show days.  I just wanted to let
you all know this is how much it costs for one dressage show lasting only 2
days............

Class Fee's (per class).........$40 for FEI                **Let me remind you
most 
									  $30 for adults riders     ride in approx. 4 classes!
									  $20 for juniors
									  $5 per class for recording championships
									  $25 late charge per class after date of close
Office Fee's (per horse).......$10 grounds prep
									  $15 office fee
									  $8 AHSA Fee
									  $5 missing info (only one that isn't mandatory)
Stabling(2 days)...................$65.00 (not including shavings)
									  $6.00 night charge to have horses checked/water
Lodging for us......................$50 a night average (you don't expect us
dressage 										riders to sleep in anything but a 5 star hotel!!!!
All meals..............................$??depends on person

WAIT Were not DONE!!!!

ASHA yearly fee.................$40 plus dicipline fees ($10)
USDF yearly fee.................$50 for horse registration/ $40 for rider
ADA yearly fee....................$30

Total..............................$$$$568.00 per show!!!!
Now all of these fees are if you own your own horse, only you!!! If someone
else owns the horse they also have to be members.  You also can not take
another horse to the show grounds without paying fees.

I know this looks like alot and it is, I was showing 5-8 times a year with my
horse and believe me.....I WILL NEVER complain about rider fees for endurance,
I am just happy to be away from all the dressage scene.  Please if you think
endurance is costly please look above, puts things in perspective.
