4-H
I am a member of the local 4-H Adult Horse Committee that plans horse
events on the county level. We manage two types of events. 1)
'fundraisers', open, schooling, or 'award' shows that anyone can attend by
paying the entry fee. 2) 4-H shows... which can only be attended by
4-Hrs., which incidentally, have to be under 18.
BTW, there is no annual membership charge for the 4-H, you just have to
sign up.

I have participated in 4-H shows right here in OC (haven't seen one in a
number of years). I am not a member of 4-H, I just pulled up with my
trailer, unloaded my horse, paid my $4 entry fee for the classes, no CA
drug fee (they told me that if you charge less than $5, then the State
doesn't assess this fee), and showed my horse.
