Candy,

We keep a small bar refridgerator (small fridge like used in college
dorm rooms) out in the barn.  That's where we store temperature
sensitive medications, supplements, apples/carrots, etc.  It is
certainly worth it vs loss of expensive items.  Every barn I ever
boarded at as a youngster had them, and we have had one since day 1 at
our ranch.

I'm surprised that you don't do the same.  A simple styrofoam cooler
might do ok also to prevent the temperature fluctuations.  Perhaps you
could pick one up and try that.
