I *strongly* believe in a person's right to choose whether they wear a
helmet or not...for that matter, whether they live or die. The thought
that always gives me pause is that if someone ends up in a hospital
unable to make their own decisions and doesn't have great medical
insurance (or it runs out) it is the taxpayers who will pay for the
necessary care. I think *I* should have the right to decide whether I
pay for someone else's medical bills/upkeep....especially in those
instances where that someone didn't wear a helmet...or use a seatbelt,
etc.
I do wear a helmet - every time. But I still think it should be a
personal choice.
BTW, I keep hearing that insurance companies are going to require that
clubs have their participants wear helmets. Any truth to this?
