protective boots
The Old Dominion holds it own Best Condition separate from the AERC
BC which is done a hour after completion. The OD award is held the
next morning and it requires that the horse has not worn protective
boots during the ride. This is a house rule, not an ECTRA rule.
ECTRA does not allow boots for their CTR. It does not override AERC
rules if it is also sanctioned with ECTRA, therefore boots are
allowed in endurance rides sanctionec by ECTRA. There may be other
rides that have house rules, but I am only familiar with the OD.
Hope this clears things up.
