Well...I'm far from being a "professional bitter", but I like the fact that the full cheek stays in the same position all the time, there's no crease for the skin to get caught in at the corner of the mouth, and no matter how a baby gapes it's mouth, it's not pulling through. I really hate it when they play around with a snaffle and let it pull through their mouth, etc. Seems like the full cheek has the least movement of any snaffles I've used. I'm not advanced enough I don't suppose to see the major differences you get between a D, Egg butt, & full cheek. I don't like loose ring ones at all because of the skin pinching. I just don't like the way the reins are sometimes at the bottom of the D and sometimes at the top. One bit of caution, I've seen them get caught in someone's long hair when they were rubbing their heads.
