A few of you may be tired of hearing
about Internation Selection PROCESS
but others are concerned about the
PROCESS. Talking about the PROCESS
has nothing to do with team loyalty.
The PROCESS is going to be repeated in
a short time with Selections for the
Zone Teams for the Pan-Am. So it excapes me why the discussion should be closed.
Seems to me there has been a lot of
brainstorming going on among several
knowledgeable individuals who are
willing to speak out and give
ideas. Just because the ideas
presented are not l00% useable
takes nothing away from brainstorming
as a concept.
Several years ago International
had to beat the bushes for volunteers
to compete. Now there were nearly
fifty teams nominated for Dubai
The very numbers indicate the need to be fair and consistent with the Selection of a squad.
For example, I discovered in my
discussion with the Chair that a selection scorecard was not used this past go-round. Now with fifty horses to
grade that would seem pretty minimal
to me, an ex-schoolteacher who had to
grade a lot of stuff. Again we are not talking personalities--we are talking
PROCESS.
Again for those of you who want to shut
down discussion just use your forward button. Nobody is forcing you to read
what you do not want to know/think
about.
Then too if you are so hot about
supporting the team let us see your
name listed in the USET LIST of
financial contributors, as we can proudly claim.
If you have not nominated a horse,
contributed money, helped crew and/or
been in contention for a slot
I think you have a
difficult time explaining to those of us who have why the discussion should end.
Sincerely,
Jean Wonser
