RE: Dues
Randy-
you have got to go to the video store! (I gave up going to the movies a
while back!) :-)))))))))) Okay, if we can't slide back on dues, how
about a more realistic rate for family dues? I don't want to hurt anyone,
just feel like individuals are carrying a little more than their "fair"
share. I really do appreciate your efforts and certainly feel that you do
alot for the organization for which I thank you.

Subject: Dues
Hi Vicki,
Sorry but there is no sliding back on dues...I am just trying to keep
them from increasing and that is what the Sponsorship Program and the
membership drive are all about. 80% of the money raised thru the
Sponsors goes into the AERC General Fund to pay expenses, etc. Only 20%
is targeted towards awards, etc. That 80% is what will save you and me
money in the long run. The membership drive does the same thing as there
is a point where more members means more money in the General Fund to
offset expenses.
I am aware that $65.00 is a lot of money, but it cost me $40.00 + to go
to a first run movie with my wife and two youngest children and that does
not include going out to eat, or ice cream afterwards. Personally, I
think the AERC Dues is a better deal.
