temperature averages

Hey folks...these don't mean much.  I live in Bakersfield, not named
after the climate but maybe should have been.  The average temperatures
for summer put out by the Chamber of Commece put us in the 60s or 70s
(I don't remember which.)    Somehow the range and frequency are  the
more important numbers, I think.  (We are known to have many, many days
100+ degrees.)
