Have had many 14-2 horses trot stride for stride with many 15-2+ horses, and have in many cases have had them take longer and fewer strides over the same distance. Have joked about these being 14-2 when you get on, but 16 hh when you ride them. I am not talking about parky action here, either, but rather the long, low, easy, efficient daisy-cutter sort of stride that really eats up the miles. Heidi
