Re: Audubon Closing MASS trails
Hi Sandy I started in the spring about the Audubon
Society, putting articles in news papers etc., when
they closed are trails to everything but walkers. They
were not happy with me.I got a call from the head of
land management stating the land once given is
personal property. Imagine all that acerage owned by
a non profit organization We the tax payers are picking
up the tab. They run an ad on WBZ radio all the time stating
they are saving land from the developers. twenty thousand
acres a year in Mass is developed and Audubon is protecting
twenty seven thousand. Thats a joke, they just sold a big
piece of property in Acton Ma to a developer. They also own
a mansion in Belmont , a wealthy community, sitting on
fifty acres which they rent out for wedddings and gala affairs.
We the tax payers are paying for all this.I would like to know
what their CEOs are getting for salaries. I realize they need
monies to use for up keep , but let the public enjoy the trails
The signs in our area read NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO joggers
dogs, skiers, cyclists, electronic devices, horses, picking etc.
Well the squeaky wheel got the oil we got back many of our
trails, with signs stating for horse use. I do not intend to
give up on this the tax payers have a right to use this land
after all their the ones supporting it.
Sorry this is so long it justs get me mad .
