Re: Cruciate Ligament
This sounds sooooo bad, I feel for her and her horse. Isn't the cruciate
ligament the one the vets cut when a horse has stifles that "lock" up? Where's
Heidi? Maybe she will give more information on this. One of my ponies has had
the surgury done to cut the ligament that causes "locked" stifles. He was very
sore for several days, then appeared better, but not 100%. He is now one year
post-op and is normal. My vets told me that the ligament would grow back,
hopefully, with the correct tension to allow the stifle to work normally.
