Why hasn't anyone discussed the proper breed for top-
sponging honors?  I think the best breed out there for
producing top-spongers is the TB ex-racer.  After all,
those little Arabs are way too smart and figure out
right off the bat that the sponge won't hurt them, even
if it does hit them.

On the other hand, if you have a TB ex-racer you could
sponge-train in a round pen, and sponge on the trail for
10 YEARS and still get a teleport sideways.  Much more
consistant for producing world class spongers.
