Footing for riding rings

Nancy, a LOT of professionals in my area are mixing a heavier  grade (No
finer than sieve No. 4) of arena sand with chopped-up rubber tires.  They
cut dust, provide "give", are cheap, and the pieces are small enough,
almost like shavings,  to be workable.  Check it out.  Cheers (;-),
