Then the fastest three completion times of the 4 team members are added together, and the fastest cumulative time wins. So--you can lose one team member to a pull and still be in the medal hunt, but not two. Also, you will tend to do better with three strong solid horses that may not be individual winners but can snag Top Ten or near Top Ten spots than you will with two individual medal winners and someone that is back near the cut-off time.
