LD-a child's perspective
My eight year old son, who is in his first season of LD, posed to me a
question today that I could not answer. He said, "Mom, why do they tell you
over and over at the pre-ride meetings not to race in the 25s, then, at the
awards make a big deal out of giving placings and prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
4th, 5th and stuff?" I could only answer, "I don't know." Wow. Out of the
mouths of babes.

A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves -
strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us
escape from our mundane existence.
